SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- A whole lot of people are soaking in summer's last hurrah down the Jersey shore.
Action News Reporter Sharifa Jackson talked to families enjoying their time in Sea Isle City.
"It was pouring earlier, but as we came closer, the clouds started going that way more and more. Then it just turned into sunshine," said James Devine of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
Devine's family set up camp right along the shoreline. It will be their last beach trip of the season.
"We love coming down for Labor Day; it's good to have a long weekend and not have to get to work on Monday," said Kelly Lubiejewski of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
"Beautiful beach, beautiful day today with the family," said Emmanuel Macareno of Dover, Delaware.
A tradition for many, the Jones family says it's a trip they've taken for 40 years.
"It's just family tradition; Atlantic City has been in my family for years," said Montel Jones of North Philadelphia.
The Atlantic City boardwalk was full of kids and kids at heart playing games and enjoying the rides and food.
"I've never been down here during Labor Day weekend before," said Chrysanne George of Paramus, New Jersey. "I like enjoying waking up and walking down the boardwalk. Listening to the seagulls. We're about to play some games."
From the beach to the boardwalk in Atlantic City, crowds took advantage of the picture-perfect weather.
Many said they were sad to see summer come to an end.
"I'm a big summer person. I am going to miss it a lot, but I know I will always be back next year," said Chrysanne George of Paramus, New Jersey.
Summer officially ends on Tuesday, September 22nd.
